Dear KAFE Supporter,

SeanMcCannFairness and Equality are not only about lack of discrimination; they are about paying our fair share, and in return, having an equal opportunity at building a good life.

The current budget debate in Lansing is unfair and asks the common citizen to contribute unequally. This budget bill, if adopted, will bring dramatic changes to our lives and imperil our dreams as Americans and as citizens of Michigan.

Our dreams are like everyone else’s – simple; work hard, contribute your best to your community, give your fair share and you will be able to provide a good life for yourself and your family.  If we don’t make our voices heard, our dreams could be crushed, our children’s chance for a good education could be taken away, our senior citizens may lose their chance to enjoy life as they grow older, and our society’s disadvantaged might lose their chance to build a better life for themselves.

Join KAFE and working people from all over Michigan on Monday, April 11 at 6:30 pm in Room 2028 at Brown Hall on Western Michigan University’s campus for a unique Town Hall event. Senate Democratic leader, Gretchen Whitmer and 60th District representative, Sean McCann will be there to answer our questions about the state budget and to hear our concerns. Don’t forget to bring your dreams..
